Initially the emailed to forum members ‘What is the fans
forum’ was discussed along with the clubs vision. The main area of debate here
was the clubs transfer policy, where emphasis remains for younger players whose
careers are ‘on their way up’. It was also stated that the club turned down
substantial offers for some of its players. It was also reaffirmed that the 25
squad rule would remain & also restated its determination to win a cup
competition, despite the recent poor showing in the league cup. Kick off times
were also discussed in relation to TV companies changing times. Next on the
agenda was ground expansion where it was explained that the clubs position remains
unchanged due to the historical nature of the site, despite recent developments
at other clubs. The ground staff were commended on how well they had repaired
the pitch following the rugby world cup. After
discussing ticket pricing, including away fans & praising the clubs
which have reciprocal pricing. So far 3 deals with other clubs have been made.
Finally, on that subject; the clubs prioritising of season ticket holders for
away tickets over other fans policy, was questioned. The response was that they
envisaged it to remain unchanged. A further large screen was requested, but the
response was that it was not feasible at present; & it is a league rule
that replays cannot be shown on it. The PA system & lift technical issues
were also discussed. Finally, plans for a new training facility are still under
consideration & when the time is right the club is committed to upgrading
facilities. The next meeting was agreed to be held in February 2016.

NOV.26th.2015,  The Bamburgh Suite at SJP played host to the ‘Brave Hearts NE. Awards’ Ceremony. Ayoze Perez
helped present the awards.

DEC.9th.2015, NUFC Disabled Supporters Association held their Christmas party in the Heroes Club at St James
Park. Special guests were; Chancel Mbemba & Florian Thauvin.

FEB.20th.2016, On the 20th & 21st of February, St. James Park hosted
the Grand Prix Poker Tour. A special guest at the event was Rob Lee.

FEB.22nd.2016,

NUFC Fans Forum in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite SJP.
Club Representatives were: Lee Charnley (Managing Director), Bob Moncur

(Club Ambassador), Lee Marshall (PR & Supporter Liason Manager),
Eddie Rutherford (Head of Facilities), Steve Storey (Head of Safety &
Security), Wendy Taylor (Head of Media), Stephen Tickle (Box Office Manager).
Supporters Representatives present were: Dave Abbott, Gareth Beard, Mark
Betham, Alan Clark, Bill Corcoran, Craig English, David Lee, Paul Loughlin,
David Maudlin, Jonathan Miller, Brian Parkin, Lynne Parmley, Taylor Payne, Bryn
Tennant. (Apologies: Steve Cole, Steve Hastie, Darren Miller, Sharon Ravenhall.
Items broadly covered were; for the fans forum members to assist in the
development of a ‘new digital platform’. There was a discussion on the clubs
poor form and it was said that although results were disappointing overall the
club was confident that following the transfer window the squad was improved on
quality. They disagreed with views that it was poorly balanced &I t was
noted that the club did put in a record bid for player which was rejected. A
question was put forward about ticket prices should be the club be relegated;
answered with the view that it was not envisaged that the club would be
relegated. Other areas discussed briefly were problems with the PA  System that are being rectified. The
possibility of wi-fi in the stadium & the idea of a second screen. The
later was confirmed as not in the clubs plans at present. Finally progress on
the planned training ground improvements were reported as now at the architect
stage. The next meeting was provisionally set for the end of the season in May.

MAR.3RD.2016

For the second year in a row, there was CEO Sleep over

& executives. The night raised more than £70 000 for homeless
charities.

MAR.8th.2016, Keith Gillespie & Brian
Kilcline did a free Talk In at the Nine Bar
at St. James Park.

APR.6th.2016- NUFC Company Ltd released its
financial results for the year ended 30th June, 2015…. O
verall Profit after Tax:
£32.4m (up from £18.7m- 2014). Operational Cash Generated- £39.1m (£23.8
million spent on the playing squad). (Operational Cash- £32.9m 2014). In total,
the summer 2015 and January 2016 transfer windows have seen a net spend on the
playing squad of just under £80million, and a significant increase in the
Club's annual wage bill. Turnover £128.8m (£129.7m – 2014)  as follows: Matchday revenue; £26.8million
(2014: £25.9million). Premier League / matchday tickets remained at 2013/14
level + 1 additional home cup match. Average League Attendance was 50 349 (50
395- 2014). Media revenue £77.2million (2014: £78.3million) due to the
reduction in merit based payments resulting from 15th place finish (2014:
10th). This was partially offset by an increased number of games shown live on
TV= 20 (14- 2014) & an increase in overseas TV revenue. Commercial revenue
£24.9million (2014: £25.6million, the most significant factor in this was the
one-off income from the Kings of Leon concert in the prior year). Excluding
this one-off event, overall commercial revenue has shown modest growth. The
Club's debt, in the form of interest-free loans from Mike Ashley and companies
under his control, was stated as continuing to remain static at £129million.
None of the debt has been repaid, nor has the owner taken any other monies from
the Club during the year. Managing director Lee Charnley made a brief statement
with the financial results saying, that at this time, the football results and
not financial results are what our supporters want to see; on the pitch.
Although realising the seriousness of the clubs situation in the Premier League
there are still 21 points to play for & a lot can happen in those games
& the clubs is supporting Rafa in his efforts all the way.
